Requesting an Appointment
Patients may request an appointment online through our secure scheduling platform. Prior to scheduling patients will complete intake paperwork consent forms and practice policies electronically to assure they are a good fit for the telemedicine model of care offered.
Submission of an appointment request does not guarantee establishment of care ongoing treatment or prescribing of medication.
Clinical Review & Appropriateness for Care
WellNest Pittsburgh Is a telehealth based outpatient psychiatric practice designed for the treatment of common lower acuity mental health conditions.
Recommendations for treatment, prescriptions, and ongoing care are determined solely through clinical evaluation and professional judgment.
Patients whose needs are determined to be outside the scope of the practice or inappropriate for a telehealth outpatient setting may be referred to a higher level of care, inpatient services, specialty treatment, or another provider better suited to their needs.
Initial Psychiatric Evaluation
Initial evaluations are typically scheduled for approximately 45 to 60 minutes. During the evaluation, we will review:
- Current symptoms and concerns,
- Medical and psychiatric history,
- Prior treatment experiences,
- Medications,
- Lifestyle factors
- Treatment goals.
Initial Psychiatric Evaluation with ADHD Screening
Includes comprehensive psychiatric evaluation plus additional ADHD screening and diagnostic assessment when clinically appropriate, including review of attention, executive functioning, and prior treatment history.
Follow-up Medication Management Visits
Follow up Medication management visits are focused on medication monitoring, treatment response, side effect management, and medication adjustments when clinically appropriate.
